Doramba is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Ramechhap district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Doramba has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 141 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Doramba Rural Municipality had total population of 22,738.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Doramba Rural Municipality had total 22,738 population with 10,302 males and 12,436 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 4,730, while ward number 3 had least number of population with 4,730.
With respect to number of households, Doramba Rural Municipality had total 4,993 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 1,016, while ward number 3 had least number of households with total 492 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.83, which indicates that Doramba Rural Municipality had 17 percent lower males as compared to the females. Gender wise, there were 1,797 males and 1,843 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 560 population, which consistes of 233 males and 327 females. There were only 11,337 people fully literate in Doramba Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 888 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 7,268 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Doramba Rural Municipality, total 3,543 males and 3,725 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,413 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 903 male and 1,510 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.95 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.60.The CBS census also states that 238 males and 325 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,788 in Doramba Rural Municipality with 3,236 (47.67%) of males and 3,552 (52.33%) females. There were total 55 schools. In average, 123 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Doramba is Nepali, which is spoken by 11,793 people. The Doramba has people who speak other languages, such as Tamang, Thami, Magar, Newar, Pahari, Sherpa, Maithili, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Doramba Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Tamang caste with total population of 6,736. There were as little as Badi caste with population of as little as 40 in total. People of several other castes who live in Doramba are Magar, Newar, Thami, Brahmin - Hill, Chhetri, Kami, Sarki, Pahari, Damai/Dholi, Sherpa, Badi, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 4993 households in Doramba Rural Municipality, there were 4,894 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 9 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 0 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 31houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,855 houses were mud bonded, 47 houses were cement bonded, 22 houses were wood planks bonded, 8 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 752 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 2,290 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 1,468 houses had roof of tile, 5 houses had RCC roofs, 410 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. Same as, total 2,075 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,553, while 1,208 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.42.

out of 4,993 households in Doramba Rural Municipality, 1,443 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,263 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 724 establishments in Doramba Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,692 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,906 and female engagement of 1,786 persons.In every business, there were an average of 5.10 people engaged with average males are 2.63 and females are 2.47. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.07, which means as many as 1.07 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 51.63 percent while the females are 48.37 percent.
