Dharmadevi is a Municipality, which is located in Sankhuwasabha district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Dharmadevi has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 133 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Dharmadevi Municipality had total population of 18,235.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Dharmadevi Municipality had total 18,235 population with 8,392 males and 9,843 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 2,962, while ward number 7 had least number of population with 2,962.
With respect to number of households, Dharmadevi Municipality had total 3,958 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 652, while ward number 7 had least number of households with total 346 number of households.

There were only 11,754 people fully literate in Dharmadevi Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 394 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,660 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Dharmadevi Municipality, total 2,744 males and 2,916 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,043 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 786 male and 1,257 female were not attending teh school. Mostly spoken language in Dharmadevi is Nepali, which is spoken by 10,697 people. The Dharmadevi has people who speak other languages, such as Yakkha, Tamang, Magar, Gurung, Sherpa, Limbu, Rai, Newar, Nachhiring, Chamling, Maithili, Bantawa, Sunuwar, etc.

Out of total 3958 households in Dharmadevi Municipality, there were 3,335 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 19 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 3 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 582houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,285 houses were mud bonded, 31 houses were cement bonded, 67 houses were wood planks bonded, 565 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 527 establishments in Dharmadevi Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,972 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,161 and female engagement of 811 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.74 people engaged with average males are 2.20 and females are 1.54. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.43, which means as many as 1.43 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 58.87 percent while the females are 41.13 percent.
