Dharche is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Gorkha district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Dharche has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 652 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Dharche Rural Municipality had total population of 13,229.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Dharche Rural Municipality had total 13,229 population with 5,977 males and 7,252 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 2,465, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 2,465.
With respect to number of households, Dharche Rural Municipality had total 3,128 households. The ward number 2 had most households with total 581, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 192 number of households.

In terms of age, the largest population in Dharche Rural Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 1,675. Gender wise, there were 817 males and 858 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was between 65 and 69 with total 362 population, which consistes of 182 males and 180 females. There were only 5,446 people fully literate in Dharche Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 553 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 3,780 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Dharche Rural Municipality, total 1,871 males and 1,909 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 1,763 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 602 male and 1,161 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.98 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.52.The CBS census also states that 10 males and 17 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,909 in Dharche Rural Municipality with 3,261 (47.20%) of males and 3,648 (52.80%) females. There were total 29 schools. In average, 238 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Dharche is Gurung, which is spoken by 11,299 people. The Dharche has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Ghale, Tamang, Rai, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Dharche Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Gurung caste with total population of 10,947. There were as little as Rai caste with population of as little as 23 in total. People of several other castes who live in Dharche are Ghale, Kami, Brahmin - Hill, Chhetri, Rai, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 3128 households in Dharche Rural Municipality, there were 3,012 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 9 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 2 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 86houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 2,963 houses were mud bonded, 17 houses were cement bonded, 96 houses were wood planks bonded, 24 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.46.

out of 3,128 households in Dharche Rural Municipality, 1,222 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 1,872 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 534 establishments in Dharche Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 969 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 491 and female engagement of 478 persons.In every business, there were an average of 1.81 people engaged with average males are 0.92 and females are 0.90. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.03, which means as many as 1.03 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 50.67 percent while the females are 49.33 percent.
