Dasharathchand is a Municipality, which is located in Baitadi district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Dasharathchand has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 135 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Dasharathchand Municipality had total population of 34,575.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Dasharathchand Municipality had total 34,575 population with 15,714 males and 18,861 females. Out of total wards, ward number 4 had the largest population 5,618, while ward number 7 had least number of population with 5,618.
With respect to number of households, Dasharathchand Municipality had total 7,257 households. The ward number 4 had most households with total 1,299, while ward number 7 had least number of households with total 334 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 22,167 people fully literate in Dasharathchand Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 797 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 11,126 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Dasharathchand Municipality, total 5,496 males and 5,630 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,970 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 926 male and 2,044 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.98 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.45.The CBS census also states that 95 males and 135 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 8,698 in Dasharathchand Municipality with 4,189 (48.16%) of males and 4,509 (51.84%) females. There were total 67 schools. In average, 130 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Dasharathchand is Baitadeli, which is spoken by 33,194 people. The Dasharathchand has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Doteli, Hindi, Maithili, Darchuleli, etc.

There were as little as Tharu caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Dasharathchand are Brahmin - Hill, Dalit Others, Thakuri, Kami, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Lohar, Sarki, Damai/Dholi, Brahmin - Tarai, Magar, Newar, Terai Others, Pahari, Dusadh/Pasawan/Pasi, Thami, Muslim, Teli, Badi, Tamang, Kathbaniyan, Gurung, Tharu, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 7257 households in Dasharathchand Municipality, there were 6,674 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 438 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 96 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 9houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 5,521 houses were mud bonded, 1,653 houses were cement bonded, 30 houses were wood planks bonded, 2 houses were bamboo bonded and 9 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 33 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 102 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 6,420 houses had roof of tile, 651 houses had RCC roofs, 1 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. out of 7,257 households in Dasharathchand Municipality, 1,538 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 5,598 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 887 establishments in Dasharathchand Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 2,521 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,847 and female engagement of 674 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.84 people engaged with average males are 2.08 and females are 0.76. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.74, which means as many as 2.74 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 73.26 percent while the females are 26.74 percent.
