Chhedagad is a Municipality, which is located in Jajarkot district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Chhedagad has total 13 wards, which are scattered across 284 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Chhedagad Municipality had total population of 35,295.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Chhedagad Municipality had total 35,295 population with 17,354 males and 17,941 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 3,547, while ward number 7 had least number of population with 3,547.
With respect to number of households, Chhedagad Municipality had total 6,144 households. The ward number 12 had most households with total 620, while ward number 7 had least number of households with total 138 number of households.

In terms of age, the largest population in Chhedagad Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 5,854. Gender wise, there were 2,861 males and 2,993 females of the same age group. There were only 17,281 people fully literate in Chhedagad Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,451 people were able to read but not write. Out of total 12,745 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Chhedagad Municipality, total 6,276 males and 6,469 females were attending the school. There were as little as Others caste with population of as little as 35 in total. Out of total 6144 households in Chhedagad Municipality, there were 6,079 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 13 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 22houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 6,009 houses were mud bonded, 68 houses were cement bonded, 25 houses were wood planks bonded, 7 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 623 establishments in Chhedagad Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,760 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,077 and female engagement of 683 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.83 people engaged with average males are 1.73 and females are 1.10. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.58, which means as many as 1.58 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 61.19 percent while the females are 38.81 percent.
