Chhatreshwori is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Salyan district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Chhatreshwori has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 151 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality had total population of 21,452.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality had total 21,452 population with 9,762 males and 11,690 females. Out of total wards, ward number 5 had the largest population 3,536, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 3,536.
With respect to number of households, Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality had total 4,408 households. The ward number 5 had most households with total 707, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 549 number of households.

There were only 12,993 people fully literate in Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 419 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 7,334 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality, total 3,536 males and 3,798 females were attending the school. There were as little as Tharu caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Chhatreshwori are Magar, Kami, Thakuri, Brahmin - Hill, Sarki, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Damai/Dholi, Muslim, Newar, Badi, Tharu, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 4408 households in Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality, there were 4,369 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 11 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 13 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 4houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,258 houses were mud bonded, 126 houses were cement bonded, 10 houses were wood planks bonded, 2 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 517 establishments in Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,124 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 687 and female engagement of 437 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.17 people engaged with average males are 1.33 and females are 0.85. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.57, which means as many as 1.57 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 61.12 percent while the females are 38.88 percent.
