In 2017 election of Chaurideurali Rural Municipality (Kavrepalanchok district), candidate Din Nath Gautam of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,924 (40.30%) votes out of total votes of 9,737 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Bikram Raj Gautam of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 3,004 (21.99%) of votes. The rest of 3 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 2,809 (14.42) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Tara Kumari Chaulagain of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 4,007 (41.47%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Mina Lama of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,004 (21.98%) of votes and came in second position. Other 3 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 2,651 (13.72) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 164 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 102 (62.20%) males and 62 (37.80%) females. Moreover, there were total 38 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 9 wards. Same as, total 61 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 29 females and 26 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
