Chankheli is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Humla district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Chankheli has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 1310 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Chankheli Rural Municipality had total population of 5,517.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Chankheli Rural Municipality had total 5,517 population with 2,788 males and 2,729 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 1,523, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 1,523.
With respect to number of households, Chankheli Rural Municipality had total 963 households. The ward number 2 had most households with total 275, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 50 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 2,373 people fully literate in Chankheli Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 80 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 1,723 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Chankheli Rural Municipality, total 942 males and 781 females were attending the school. There were as little as Magar caste with population of as little as 11 in total. Out of total 963 households in Chankheli Rural Municipality, there were 962 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 0 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 0 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 0houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 956 houses were mud bonded, 1 houses were cement bonded, 3 houses were wood planks bonded, 0 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

In those establishments, total 586 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 408 and female engagement of 178 persons.In every business, there were an average of 1.88 people engaged with average males are 1.31 and females are 0.57. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.29, which means as many as 2.29 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 69.62 percent while the females are 30.38 percent.
