In 2017 election of Chame Rural Municipality (Manang district), candidate Lokendra Bahadur Ghale of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 214 (55.30%) votes out of total votes of 387 and was elected as a Chairman.
