Brindawan is a Municipality, which is located in Rautahat district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Brindawan has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 95 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Brindawan Municipality had total population of 42,735.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Brindawan Municipality had total 42,735 population with 21,811 males and 20,924 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 7,130, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 7,130.
With respect to number of households, Brindawan Municipality had total 6,374 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 1,083, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 211 number of households.

There were only 11,909 people fully literate in Brindawan Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,695 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,681 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Brindawan Municipality, total 3,903 males and 2,778 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 10,096 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 4,539 male and 5,557 female were not attending teh school. According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 8,871 in Brindawan Municipality with 4,486 (50.57%) of males and 4,385 (49.43%) females. There were total 27 schools. In average, 329 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Brindawan is Bajjika, which is spoken by 30,069 people. The Brindawan has people who speak other languages, such as Urdu, Bhojpuri, Tharu, Nepali, Maithili, Tamang, Yakkha, etc.

There were as little as Yakkha caste with population of as little as 11 in total. Out of total 6374 households in Brindawan Municipality, there were 412 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 713 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 94 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 4,938houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 321 houses were mud bonded, 738 houses were cement bonded, 77 houses were wood planks bonded, 4,931 houses were bamboo bonded and 14 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 6,374 households in Brindawan Municipality, 984 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 5,078 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 552 establishments in Brindawan Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 2,947 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 2,458 and female engagement of 489 persons.In every business, there were an average of 5.34 people engaged with average males are 4.45 and females are 0.89. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 5.03, which means as many as 5.03 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 83.41 percent while the females are 16.59 percent.
