Bishnupur is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Saptari district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Bishnupur has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 37 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Bishnupur Rural Municipality had total population of 23,035.

As per 2011 population census, Bishnupur Rural Municipality had total 23,038 population with 11,438 males and 11,600 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 7,276, while ward number 3 had least number of population with 7,276.

There were only 11,293 people fully literate in Bishnupur Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 407 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,818 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Bishnupur Rural Municipality, total 3,125 males and 2,693 females were attending the school. Out of total 4370 households in Bishnupur Rural Municipality, there were 323 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 688 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 101 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 2,569houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 235 houses were mud bonded, 710 houses were cement bonded, 39 houses were wood planks bonded, 3,122 houses were bamboo bonded and 54 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 4,370 households in Bishnupur Rural Municipality, 833 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,482 households reported of using at least one facility. According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 403 establishments in Bishnupur Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 952 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 646 and female engagement of 306 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.36 people engaged with average males are 1.60 and females are 0.76. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.11, which means as many as 2.11 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 67.86 percent while the females are 32.14 percent.
