In 2017 election of Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality (Nawalparasi_E district), candidate Dambar Bahadur G.c of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 6,909 (51.04%) votes out of total votes of 13,537 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Laxman Bahadur Pandey of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 5,350 (26.17%) of votes. The rest of 5 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 1,278 (4.72) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Mina Kumari Rana of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 6,896 (51.04%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Tara Kumari B.k of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 5,402 (26.47%) of votes and came in second position. Other 3 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 1,213 (4.49) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 142 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 82 (57.75%) males and 60 (42.25%) females. Moreover, there were total 30 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 7 wards. Same as, total 51 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 26 females and 23 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
