In 2017 election of Bihadi Rural Municipality (Parbat district), candidate Kamal Prasad Bhusal of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,420 (42.12%) votes out of total votes of 5,746 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Parbin Gurung of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 2,217 (27.15%) of votes. The rest of 2 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 1,109 (9.65) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Kumari Dambar Gurung of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,315 (40.49%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Bishnu Kumari Khadka Chhetri of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 2,299 (28.62%) of votes and came in second position. Other 2 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 1,104 (9.65) of votes.
As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 109 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 65 (59.63%) males and 44 (40.37%) females. Moreover, there were total 22 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 40 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 20 females and 19 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
