Beni is a Municipality, which is located in Myagdi district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Beni has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 77 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Beni Municipality had total population of 33,498.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Beni Municipality had total 33,498 population with 15,002 males and 18,496 females. Out of total wards, ward number 8 had the largest population 5,429, while ward number 10 had least number of population with 5,429.
With respect to number of households, Beni Municipality had total 8,652 households. The ward number 8 had most households with total 1,515, while ward number 10 had least number of households with total 458 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.81, which indicates that Beni Municipality had 19 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 3.87, which means that in average 3.87 family members lived in each household.
Absentee Population
As of 2011, 4,409 population in Beni Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 13.16 percent of the total population. In terms of age, the largest population in Beni Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 4,418. Gender wise, there were 2,230 males and 2,188 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 659 population, which consistes of 308 males and 351 females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.51. There were 58.41 % (19,566 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 34.95 % with total number of 11,707. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 6.64 % with total number of 2,225. There were only 23,302 people fully literate in Beni Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 683 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 10,016 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Beni Municipality, total 5,034 males and 4,982 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,619 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 875 male and 1,744 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.01 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.50.The CBS census also states that 59 males and 90 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.
Grade 1-12 Students & Schools
According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 4,117 in Beni Municipality with 1,999 (48.55%) of males and 2,118 (51.45%) females. There were total 73 schools. In average, 56 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Beni is Nepali, which is spoken by 31,104 people. The Beni has people who speak other languages, such as Magar, Newar, Chhantyal, Bhojpuri, Gurung, Thakali, Maithili, Hindi, Sanskrit, Kham, Tamang, Sign Language, Rai, Urdu, etc.

There were as little as Hajam/Thakur caste with population of as little as 13 in total. People of several other castes who live in Beni are Magar, Brahmin - Hill, Damai/Dholi, Kami, Sarki, Newar, Thakuri, Chhantyal/Chhantel, Gurung, Thakali, Kisan, Muslim, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Rai, Tamang, Teli, Haluwai, Terai Others, Tharu, Koiri/Kushwaha, Badi, Sherpa, Gharti/Bhujel, Hajam/Thakur, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Similarly, there were 210 people who were blind and 332 people were deaf, while 26 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 192 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 105 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 8652 households in Beni Municipality, there were 6,494 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 583 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1,483 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 60houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 6,346 houses were mud bonded, 2,134 houses were cement bonded, 41 houses were wood planks bonded, 23 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

The households still using kerosene as source of light were 480, while 74 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.93.

out of 8,652 households in Beni Municipality, 891 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 7,694 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,966 establishments in Beni Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 7,261 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 3,873 and female engagement of 3,388 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.69 people engaged with average males are 1.97 and females are 1.72. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.14, which means as many as 1.14 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 53.34 percent while the females are 46.66 percent.
