Bedkot is a Municipality, which is located in Kanchanpur district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Bedkot has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 160 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Bedkot Municipality had total population of 49,479.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Bedkot Municipality had total 49,479 population with 23,492 males and 25,987 females. Out of total wards, ward number 10 had the largest population 6,832, while ward number 8 had least number of population with 6,832.
With respect to number of households, Bedkot Municipality had total 9,219 households. The ward number 7 had most households with total 1,275, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 693 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 31,126 people fully literate in Bedkot Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,119 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 15,895 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Bedkot Municipality, total 8,070 males and 7,825 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 4,982 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,941 male and 3,041 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.03 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.64.The CBS census also states that 195 males and 257 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 17,774 in Bedkot Municipality with 8,499 (47.82%) of males and 9,275 (52.18%) females. There were total 42 schools. In average, 423 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Bedkot is Doteli, which is spoken by 25,211 people. The Bedkot has people who speak other languages, such as Tharu, Baitadeli, Bajhangi, Achhami, Nepali, Darchuleli, Magar, Bajureli, Maithili, Urdu, Hindi, Sign Language, Jumli, Raji, Gurung, Bhojpuri, etc.

There were as little as Hajam/Thakur caste with population of as little as 14 in total. People of several other castes who live in Bedkot are Brahmin - Hill, Tharu, Kami, Thakuri, Sarki, Damai/Dholi, Dalit Others, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Magar, Lohar, Dhanuk, Muslim, Gurung, Badi, Kathbaniyan, Dhandi, Newar, Tamang, Hajam/Thakur, Raji, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 9219 households in Bedkot Municipality, there were 1,649 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 2,784 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 122 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 4,563houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 1,430 houses were mud bonded, 3,111 houses were cement bonded, 3,123 houses were wood planks bonded, 942 houses were bamboo bonded and 23 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 9,219 households in Bedkot Municipality, 850 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 8,210 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,033 establishments in Bedkot Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,211 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 2,280 and female engagement of 931 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.11 people engaged with average males are 2.21 and females are 0.90. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.45, which means as many as 2.45 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 71.01 percent while the females are 28.99 percent.
