Balephi is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Sindhupalchok district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Balephi has total 8 wards, which are scattered across 62 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Balephi Rural Municipality had total population of 18,909.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Balephi Rural Municipality had total 18,909 population with 9,002 males and 9,907 females. Out of total wards, ward number 7 had the largest population 2,901, while ward number 2 had least number of population with 2,901.
With respect to number of households, Balephi Rural Municipality had total 4,429 households. The ward number 7 had most households with total 709, while ward number 2 had least number of households with total 383 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 11,518 people fully literate in Balephi Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 324 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,345 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Balephi Rural Municipality, total 2,601 males and 2,744 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 1,786 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 781 male and 1,005 female were not attending teh school. There were as little as Rai caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Balephi are Chhetri, Brahmin - Hill, Newar, Damai/Dholi, Kami, Gharti/Bhujel, Sarki, Gurung, Majhi, Magar, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Thakuri, Tharu, Sherpa, Thami, Limbu, Hajam/Thakur, Rai, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 4429 households in Balephi Rural Municipality, there were 3,876 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 423 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 85 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 7houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,741 houses were mud bonded, 613 houses were cement bonded, 34 houses were wood planks bonded, 2 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 78 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 1,609 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 2,302 houses had roof of tile, 375 houses had RCC roofs, 17 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 158, while 2 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.96.

out of 4,429 households in Balephi Rural Municipality, 767 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,580 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 670 establishments in Balephi Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,657 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 929 and female engagement of 728 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.47 people engaged with average males are 1.39 and females are 1.09. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.28, which means as many as 1.28 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 56.07 percent while the females are 43.93 percent.
