Badimalika is a Municipality, which is located in Bajura district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Badimalika has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 276 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Badimalika Municipality had total population of 16,818.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Badimalika Municipality had total 16,818 population with 8,656 males and 8,162 females. Out of total wards, ward number 9 had the largest population 3,547, while ward number 4 had least number of population with 3,547.
With respect to number of households, Badimalika Municipality had total 3,446 households. The ward number 9 had most households with total 753, while ward number 3 had least number of households with total 179 number of households.

In terms of age, the largest population in Badimalika Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 2,456. However, gender wise largest population age group differs from the total population, such as largest male population falls between 5 and 9 with total 1,334 while female population falls between 10 and 14 with total 1,182 population. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 184 population, which consistes of 95 males and 89 females. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 9,001 people fully literate in Badimalika Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 444 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,988 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Badimalika Municipality, total 3,200 males and 2,788 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 1,543 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 590 male and 953 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.15 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.62.The CBS census also states that 25 males and 29 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 3,290 in Badimalika Municipality with 1,571 (47.75%) of males and 1,719 (52.25%) females. There were total 28 schools. In average, 118 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Badimalika is Nepali, which is spoken by 16,465 people. The Badimalika has people who speak other languages, such as Sherpa, Maithili, Gurung, Tharu, Sign Language, Hindi, Tamang, etc.

There were as little as Terai Others caste with population of as little as 19 in total. People of several other castes who live in Badimalika are Brahmin - Hill, Lohar, Kami, Damai/Dholi, Thakuri, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Badi, Sarki, Bhote, Dalit Others, Gurung, Newar, Tharu, Tamang, Terai Others, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 3446 households in Badimalika Municipality, there were 3,176 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 74 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 2 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 70houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,134 houses were mud bonded, 107 houses were cement bonded, 41 houses were wood planks bonded, 5 houses were bamboo bonded and 2 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 491 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 216 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 2,616 houses had roof of tile, 54 houses had RCC roofs, 1 houses had roof of woods while 2 houses were reported having roof of mud. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 836 establishments in Badimalika Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 2,156 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,435 and female engagement of 721 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.58 people engaged with average males are 1.72 and females are 0.86. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.99, which means as many as 1.99 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 66.56 percent while the females are 33.44 percent.
