In 2017 election of Adanchuli Rural Municipality (Humla district), candidate Dal Phadera of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,185 (39.95%) votes out of total votes of 2,966 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Dalu Phadera of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) who secured 987 (23.78%) of votes. The rest of 2 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 794 (13.39) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Saumati Rawal of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,221 (42.00%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Pratibha Bumi of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 1,049 (25.41%) of votes and came in second position. Other 1 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 637 (10.96) of votes.

Moreover, there were total 21 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 37 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 18 females and 16 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
