House Design Ratios Piechart of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kathmandu District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts about different house designs, such as foundation, wall, roof and toilet types of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kathmandu District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) of Nepal. As of 2011, largest number of houses in Kathmandu Metropolitan City had foundation as rcc piller with total number of 209,472 (50.89%) houses, while foundation having cement bonded were 100,716 (48.08%) houses. Rest of house foundations were mud bonded (37,941), wooden piller (1,368) and other types or except listed here (781). With respect to the house wall, most houses had cement bonded wall with total number of 212,587 (85.97 %) houses, while second most houses had mud bonded wall with total number of 30,040 (12.15%) houses. Remaining houses had bamboo (2,089), wood planks (1,576) and other types or except listed here (691) wall. Similarly, there were 204,824 (83.01%) houses that had roof type as rcc followed by 37,317 (15.12%) houses having roof type as galvanized. Rest of houses had roof type as tile (2,614), thatch (875), wood (658), other types or except listed here (423) and mud (27). In total, 234,299 (92.93%) houses had flush toilet while 17,274 (6.85%) houses had ordinary toilet and 545 (0.22%) had no toilet. Just to clarify that, the data that was not stated or information about the people who did not stated what types of house designs they had are not illustrated in the pie chart and are not analyzed here.
