The pie-charts about different house designs, such as foundation, wall, roof and toilet types of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, Sunsari District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) of Nepal. As of 2011, largest number of houses in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City had foundation as cement bonded with total number of 31,986 (35.36%) houses, while foundation having rcc piller were 10,335 (32.31%) houses. Rest of house foundations were wooden piller (8,878), other types or except listed here (1,462) and mud bonded (1,382). With respect to the house wall, most houses had cement bonded wall with total number of 20,651 (61.91 %) houses, while second most houses had bamboo wall with total number of 9,862 (29.57%) houses. Remaining houses had wood planks (1,884), mud bonded (815) and other types or except listed here (110) wall. Similarly, there were 16,944 (50.85%) houses that had roof type as galvanized followed by 13,895 (41.70%) houses having roof type as rcc. Rest of houses had roof type as thatch (2,158), tile (164), wood (107) and other types or except listed here (54). In total, 18,585 (55.39%) houses had flush toilet while 11,166 (33.28%) houses had ordinary toilet and 3,802 (11.33%) had no toilet.
