The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality, Salyan District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality had total population of 21,452 with male 9,762 (45.51%) and female 11,690 (54.49%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 12,152 (56.65%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 8,581 (40.00%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 719 (3.35%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 9,300 (43.35%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 5,967 while children below 5 years of age were 2,301, which is equivalent to 386 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
