The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality, Dolpa District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality had total population of 1,451 with male 684 (47.14%) and female 767 (52.86%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 872 (60.10%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 506 (34.87%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 73 (5.03%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 579 (39.90%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 398 while children below 5 years of age were 137, which is equivalent to 344 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
