The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Rangeli Municipality, Morang District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Rangeli Municipality had total population of 52,013 with male 25,081 (48.22%) and female 26,932 (51.78%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 31,948 (61.42%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 16,987 (32.66%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 3,078 (5.92%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 20,065 (38.58%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 14,014 while children below 5 years of age were 4,935, which is equivalent to 352 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
