Belauri is a Municipality, which is located in Kanchanpur district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Belauri has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 123 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Belauri Municipality had total population of 53,544.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Belauri Municipality had total 53,544 population with 25,457 males and 28,087 females. Out of total wards, ward number 10 had the largest population 6,821, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 6,821.
With respect to number of households, Belauri Municipality had total 8,657 households. The ward number 6 had most households with total 1,151, while ward number 7 had least number of households with total 495 number of households.

There were only 34,668 people fully literate in Belauri Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,133 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 17,696 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Belauri Municipality, total 8,738 males and 8,958 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 6,316 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 2,585 male and 3,731 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.98 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.69.The CBS census also states that 170 males and 267 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 40,704 in Belauri Municipality with 21,511 (52.85%) of males and 19,193 (47.15%) females. There were total 45 schools. In average, 905 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Belauri is Tharu, which is spoken by 32,373 people. The Belauri has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Doteli, Baitadeli, Bajhangi, Achhami, Magar, Hindi, Bajureli, Bote, Darchuleli, Newar, Maithili, Khash, Bhojpuri, Avadhi, Jumli, Dailekhi, etc.

There were as little as Majhi caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Belauri are Chhetri, Brahmin - Hill, Thakuri, Kami, Magar, Dalit Others, Damai/Dholi, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Bote, Lohar, Sarki, Newar, Gurung, Badi, Teli, Kumal, Brahmin - Tarai, Terai Others, Hajam/Thakur, Haluwai, Muslim, Kathbaniyan, Rai, Majhi, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 8657 households in Belauri Municipality, there were 746 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,882 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 8 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 5,925houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 636 houses were mud bonded, 2,075 houses were cement bonded, 816 houses were wood planks bonded, 3,640 houses were bamboo bonded and 28 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 191 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 767 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 6,276 houses had roof of tile, 1,238 houses had RCC roofs, 67 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. out of 8,657 households in Belauri Municipality, 318 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 8,191 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,070 establishments in Belauri Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,964 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 2,961 and female engagement of 1,003 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.70 people engaged with average males are 2.77 and females are 0.94. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.95, which means as many as 2.95 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 74.70 percent while the females are 25.30 percent.
