Kamalbazar is a Municipality, which is located in Achham district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Kamalbazar has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 121 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kamalbazar Municipality had total population of 23,738.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Kamalbazar Municipality had total 23,738 population with 11,048 males and 12,690 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 2,875, while ward number 2 had least number of population with 2,875.
With respect to number of households, Kamalbazar Municipality had total 4,482 households. The ward number 6 had most households with total 532, while ward number 2 had least number of households with total 305 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.87, which indicates that Kamalbazar Municipality had 13 percent lower males as compared to the females. There were only 11,234 people fully literate in Kamalbazar Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 773 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 7,951 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Kamalbazar Municipality, total 4,153 males and 3,798 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 3,067 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,023 male and 2,044 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.09 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.50.The CBS census also states that 116 males and 280 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 5,761 in Kamalbazar Municipality with 2,657 (46.12%) of males and 3,104 (53.88%) females. There were total 47 schools. In average, 123 students were studying in each school.

There were as little as Muslim caste with population of as little as 13 in total. People of several other castes who live in Kamalbazar are Brahmin - Hill, Dalit Others, Kami, Thakuri, Damai/Dholi, Sarki, Terai Others, Badi, Lohar, Majhi, Muslim, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 4482 households in Kamalbazar Municipality, there were 4,420 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 9 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 0 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 5houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,343 houses were mud bonded, 28 houses were cement bonded, 45 houses were wood planks bonded, 0 houses were bamboo bonded and 18 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 4,482 households in Kamalbazar Municipality, 1,889 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,518 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 337 establishments in Kamalbazar Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 930 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 596 and female engagement of 334 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.76 people engaged with average males are 1.77 and females are 0.99. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.78, which means as many as 1.78 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 64.09 percent while the females are 35.91 percent.
