Budhinanda is a Municipality, which is located in Bajura district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Budhinanda has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 232 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Budhinanda Municipality had total population of 18,776.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Budhinanda Municipality had total 18,776 population with 9,351 males and 9,425 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 2,708, while ward number 9 had least number of population with 2,708.
With respect to number of households, Budhinanda Municipality had total 3,452 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 532, while ward number 8 had least number of households with total 249 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.99, which indicates that Budhinanda Municipality had 1 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 5.44, which means that in average 5.44 family members lived in each household.

In terms of age, the largest population in Budhinanda Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 2,747. Gender wise, there were 1,362 males and 1,385 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was above 75 with total 221 population, which consistes of 111 males and 110 females. Top 5 most populated age groups were between 5 and 9 (2,747), below 4 (2,582), between 10 and 14 (2,506), between 15 and 19 (2,015), between 20 and 24 (1,358) with total population of 11,208. There were only 8,809 people fully literate in Budhinanda Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 400 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,146 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Budhinanda Municipality, total 3,198 males and 2,948 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,412 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,002 male and 1,410 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.08 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.71.The CBS census also states that 61 males and 72 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 3,688 in Budhinanda Municipality with 1,742 (47.23%) of males and 1,946 (52.77%) females. There were total 37 schools. In average, 100 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Budhinanda is Nepali, which is spoken by 18,490 people. The Budhinanda has people who speak other languages, such as Sherpa, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Budhinanda Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Chhetri caste with total population of 9,862. There were as little as Newar caste with population of as little as 13 in total. People of several other castes who live in Budhinanda are Kami, Lohar, Brahmin - Hill, Thakuri, Damai/Dholi, Bhote, Sarki, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Dalit Others, Mallaha, Muslim, Badi, Newar, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Similarly, there were 268 people who were blind and 257 people were deaf, while 17 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 98 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 79 people had multiple disabilities.

Out of total 3452 households in Budhinanda Municipality, there were 3,388 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 23 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 17houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,281 houses were mud bonded, 117 houses were cement bonded, 25 houses were wood planks bonded, 1 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

With reference to source of fuel, 3,426 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 6 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 0 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (1), bio-gas (0), fuel electricity (0), etc.
Same as, total 1,208 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 158, while 380 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.35.

out of 3,452 households in Budhinanda Municipality, 1,651 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 1,684 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Radio was used by the maximum households with total users of 1,302, while MobilePhone was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 948.
Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 595 establishments in Budhinanda Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,390 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 821 and female engagement of 569 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.34 people engaged with average males are 1.38 and females are 0.96. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.44, which means as many as 1.44 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 59.06 percent while the females are 40.94 percent.
