Panchapuri is a Municipality, which is located in Surkhet district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Panchapuri has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 330 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Panchapuri Municipality had total population of 32,231.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Panchapuri Municipality had total 32,231 population with 15,422 males and 16,809 females. Out of total wards, ward number 7 had the largest population 3,506, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 3,506.
With respect to number of households, Panchapuri Municipality had total 6,304 households. The ward number 8 had most households with total 668, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 426 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.92, which indicates that Panchapuri Municipality had 8 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 5.11, which means that in average 5.11 family members lived in each household.

In terms of age, the largest population in Panchapuri Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 4,817. Gender wise, there were 2,451 males and 2,366 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 314 population, which consistes of 161 males and 153 females. Top 5 most populated age groups were between 5 and 9 (4,817), between 10 and 14 (4,744), below 4 (4,226), between 15 and 19 (3,706), between 20 and 24 (2,706) with total population of 20,199. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.68. There were only 19,745 people fully literate in Panchapuri Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 671 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 10,876 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Panchapuri Municipality, total 5,475 males and 5,401 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 4,094 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,721 male and 2,373 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.01 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.73.The CBS census also states that 216 males and 359 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.
Grade 1-12 Students & Schools
According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 8,739 in Panchapuri Municipality with 4,310 (49.32%) of males and 4,429 (50.68%) females. There were total 59 schools. In average, 148 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Panchapuri is Nepali, which is spoken by 29,724 people. The Panchapuri has people who speak other languages, such as Magar, Raji, Newar, Maithili, Bhojpuri, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Panchapuri Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Chhetri caste with total population of 9,397. There were as little as Majhi caste with population of as little as 24 in total. People of several other castes who live in Panchapuri are Kami, Brahmin - Hill, Magar, Damai/Dholi, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Thakuri, Sarki, Raji, Terai Others, Newar, Gurung, Badi, Kumal, Majhi, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Similarly, there were 232 people who were blind and 266 people were deaf, while 29 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 62 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 77 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 6304 households in Panchapuri Municipality, there were 1,795 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 42 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 31 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 4,328houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 2,042 houses were mud bonded, 114 houses were cement bonded, 4,012 houses were wood planks bonded, 52 houses were bamboo bonded and 2 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 5,428 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 584 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 125 houses had roof of tile, 51 houses had RCC roofs, 33 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.
With respect to the toilets, 1,435 out of 6,304 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 2,782 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 2,032 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

With reference to source of fuel, 6,172 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 8 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 8 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (28), bio-gas (27), fuel electricity (0), etc.
Same as, total 86 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 30, while 1,994 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.01.

out of 6,304 households in Panchapuri Municipality, 1,588 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,414 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 752 establishments in Panchapuri Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,980 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,130 and female engagement of 850 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.63 people engaged with average males are 1.50 and females are 1.13. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.33, which means as many as 1.33 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 57.07 percent while the females are 42.93 percent.
