Chharka Tangsong is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Dolpa district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Chharka Tangsong has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 346 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality had total population of 1,451.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 391 people fully literate in Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 33 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 255 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality, total 136 males and 119 females were attending the school. In those establishments, total 82 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 56 and female engagement of 26 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.65 people engaged with average males are 1.81 and females are 0.84. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.15, which means as many as 2.15 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 68.29 percent while the females are 31.71 percent.
