Purbakhola is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Palpa district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Purbakhola has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 138 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Purbakhola Rural Municipality had total population of 19,589.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Purbakhola Rural Municipality had total 19,589 population with 8,563 males and 11,026 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 4,988, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 4,988.
With respect to number of households, Purbakhola Rural Municipality had total 4,085 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 1,035, while ward number 6 had least number of households with total 499 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 12,994 people fully literate in Purbakhola Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 492 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,609 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Purbakhola Rural Municipality, total 3,300 males and 3,309 females were attending the school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Purbakhola is Magar, which is spoken by 14,701 people. The Purbakhola has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Newar, Bhojpuri, etc.

Out of total 4085 households in Purbakhola Rural Municipality, there were 3,742 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 127 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 56 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 149houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,742 houses were mud bonded, 188 houses were cement bonded, 7 houses were wood planks bonded, 138 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,316 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 2,658 houses had galvanized roofs. According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 545 establishments in Purbakhola Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,325 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 687 and female engagement of 638 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.43 people engaged with average males are 1.26 and females are 1.17. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.08, which means as many as 1.08 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 51.85 percent while the females are 48.15 percent.
