Mandavi is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Pyuthan district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Mandavi has total 5 wards, which are scattered across 113 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Mandavi Rural Municipality had total population of 15,058.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Mandavi Rural Municipality had total 15,058 population with 6,577 males and 8,481 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 3,462, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 3,462.
With respect to number of households, Mandavi Rural Municipality had total 3,068 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 760, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 525 number of households.

There were only 8,739 people fully literate in Mandavi Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 438 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,080 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Mandavi Rural Municipality, total 2,482 males and 2,598 females were attending the school. Household Foundation
Out of total 3068 households in Mandavi Rural Municipality, there were 2,931 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 44 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 35 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 24houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 2,921 houses were mud bonded, 76 houses were cement bonded, 8 houses were wood planks bonded, 24 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,767 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 1,018 houses had galvanized roofs. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.72.

out of 3,068 households in Mandavi Rural Municipality, 471 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,512 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 423 establishments in Mandavi Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,518 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 833 and female engagement of 685 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.59 people engaged with average males are 1.97 and females are 1.62. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.22, which means as many as 1.22 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 54.87 percent while the females are 45.13 percent.
