Hupsekot is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Nawalparasi_E district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Hupsekot has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 189 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Hupsekot Rural Municipality had total population of 25,065.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Hupsekot Rural Municipality had total 25,065 population with 11,272 males and 13,793 females. Out of total wards, ward number 4 had the largest population 5,606, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 5,606.
With respect to number of households, Hupsekot Rural Municipality had total 4,588 households. The ward number 4 had most households with total 989, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 415 number of households.

Gender wise, there were 1,765 males and 1,866 females of the same age group. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 15,751 people fully literate in Hupsekot Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 461 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 8,320 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Hupsekot Rural Municipality, total 4,095 males and 4,225 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,972 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 980 male and 1,992 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.97 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.49.The CBS census also states that 71 males and 134 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 13,839 in Hupsekot Rural Municipality with 6,696 (48.38%) of males and 7,143 (51.62%) females. There were total 43 schools. In average, 322 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Hupsekot is Magar, which is spoken by 14,827 people. The Hupsekot has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Tharu, Gurung, Kumal, Tamang, Newar, Bhojpuri, Doteli, Sign Language, Urdu, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Hupsekot Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Magar caste with total population of 15,997. There were as little as Yadav caste with population of as little as 14 in total. People of several other castes who live in Hupsekot are Brahmin - Hill, Kami, Thakuri, Damai/Dholi, Tharu, Chhetri, Kumal, Gurung, Dalit Others, Tamang, Newar, Sarki, Gharti/Bhujel, Badi, Darai, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Muslim, Yadav, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Similarly, there were 53 people who were blind and 82 people were deaf, while 8 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 73 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 31 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 4588 households in Hupsekot Rural Municipality, there were 2,421 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 631 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 334 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 1,163houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 2,789 houses were mud bonded, 1,133 houses were cement bonded, 597 houses were wood planks bonded, 15 houses were bamboo bonded and 3 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 710 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 3,491 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 50 houses had roof of tile, 282 houses had RCC roofs, 11 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. With reference to source of fuel, 4,189 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 6 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 126 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (2), bio-gas (221), fuel electricity (2), etc.
Same as, total 3,076 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 905, while 346 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.67.

out of 4,588 households in Hupsekot Rural Municipality, 466 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,969 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 862 establishments in Hupsekot Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,832 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 869 and female engagement of 963 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.13 people engaged with average males are 1.01 and females are 1.12. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 0.90, which means as many as 0.90 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 47.43 percent while the females are 52.57 percent.
