Indrasarowar is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Makwanpur district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Indrasarowar has total 5 wards, which are scattered across 97 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Indrasarowar Rural Municipality had total population of 17,585.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Indrasarowar Rural Municipality had total 13,809 population with 6,509 males and 7,300 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 3,245, while ward number 4 had least number of population with 3,245.
With respect to number of households, Indrasarowar Rural Municipality had total 3,054 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 739, while ward number 4 had least number of households with total 432 number of households.

There were only 7,737 people fully literate in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 399 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 3,631 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality, total 1,737 males and 1,894 females were attending the school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Indrasarowar is Tamang, which is spoken by 9,884 people. The Indrasarowar has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Newar, Magar, Lapcha, Maithili, Gurung, etc.

There were as little as Tharu caste with population of as little as 17 in total. Out of total 3054 households in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality, there were 2,975 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 51 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 4 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 14houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 2,916 houses were mud bonded, 110 houses were cement bonded, 14 houses were wood planks bonded, 2 houses were bamboo bonded and 2 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 463 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 2,121 houses had galvanized roofs. out of 3,054 households in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality, 677 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,362 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 466 establishments in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,066 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 613 and female engagement of 453 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.29 people engaged with average males are 1.32 and females are 0.97. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.35, which means as many as 1.35 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 57.50 percent while the females are 42.50 percent.
