Benighat Rorang is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Dhading district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Benighat Rorang has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 29 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality had total population of 31,475.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality had total 31,475 population with 15,660 males and 15,815 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 4,592, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 4,592.
With respect to number of households, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality had total 6,169 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 884, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 394 number of households.

Gender wise, there were 2,248 males and 2,267 females of the same age group. There were only 17,611 people fully literate in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 848 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 9,032 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, total 4,522 males and 4,510 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 5,152 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 2,434 male and 2,718 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.00 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.90.The CBS census also states that 89 males and 85 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,574 in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality with 3,100 (47.16%) of males and 3,474 (52.84%) females. There were total 79 schools. In average, 83 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Benighat Rorang is Nepali, which is spoken by 18,270 people. The Benighat Rorang has people who speak other languages, such as Chepang, Tamang, Magar, Gurung, Newar, Ghale, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Urdu, Hindi, Tharu, Bhujel, Rai, Doteli, etc.

There were as little as Majhi caste with population of as little as 13 in total. People of several other castes who live in Benighat Rorang are Brahmin - Hill, Chhetri, Tamang, Magar, Newar, Kami, Gurung, Damai/Dholi, Sarki, Thakuri, Ghale, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Muslim, Gharti/Bhujel, Brahmu/Baramo, Rai, Tharu, Dalit Others, Teli, Terai Others, Nuniya, Sunuwar, Majhi, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 6169 households in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, there were 4,227 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 536 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 476 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 873houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,522 houses were mud bonded, 1,052 houses were cement bonded, 360 houses were wood planks bonded, 172 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 6,169 households in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, 1,309 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,783 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,256 establishments in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,688 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 2,051 and female engagement of 1,637 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.94 people engaged with average males are 1.63 and females are 1.30. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.25, which means as many as 1.25 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 55.61 percent while the females are 44.39 percent.
