Devtal is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Bara district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Devtal has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 23 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Devtal Rural Municipality had total population of 23,223.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Devtal Rural Municipality had total 23,223 population with 12,108 males and 11,115 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 5,389, while ward number 4 had least number of population with 5,389.
With respect to number of households, Devtal Rural Municipality had total 3,185 households. The ward number 2 had most households with total 689, while ward number 4 had least number of households with total 329 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 8,856 people fully literate in Devtal Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 547 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 4,857 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Devtal Rural Municipality, total 2,759 males and 2,098 females were attending the school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Devtal is Bhojpuri, which is spoken by 22,325 people. The Devtal has people who speak other languages, such as Maithili, Doteli, Nepali, Hindi, etc.

There were as little as Yakkha caste with population of as little as 20 in total. Household Foundation
Out of total 3185 households in Devtal Rural Municipality, there were 272 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 520 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 69 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 2,140houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 226 houses were mud bonded, 588 houses were cement bonded, 15 houses were wood planks bonded, 2,186 houses were bamboo bonded and 13 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.46.

out of 3,185 households in Devtal Rural Municipality, 383 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,689 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 154 establishments in Devtal Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 365 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 282 and female engagement of 83 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.37 people engaged with average males are 1.83 and females are 0.54. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 3.40, which means as many as 3.40 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 77.26 percent while the females are 22.74 percent.
