Maulapur is a Municipality, which is located in Rautahat district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Maulapur has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 35 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Maulapur Municipality had total population of 26,431.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Maulapur Municipality had total 26,424 population with 13,651 males and 12,773 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 4,030, while ward number 2 had least number of population with 4,030.
With respect to number of households, Maulapur Municipality had total 3,830 households. The ward number 6 had most households with total 574, while ward number 2 had least number of households with total 290 number of households.

There were only 7,896 people fully literate in Maulapur Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 925 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 4,413 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Maulapur Municipality, total 2,688 males and 1,725 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 6,003 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 2,719 male and 3,284 female were not attending teh school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Maulapur is Bajjika, which is spoken by 24,971 people. The Maulapur has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Urdu, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Sunuwar, Tamang, etc.

There were as little as Tharu caste with population of as little as 18 in total. Household Foundation
Out of total 3830 households in Maulapur Municipality, there were 691 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 639 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 17 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 2,285houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 343 houses were mud bonded, 574 houses were cement bonded, 26 houses were wood planks bonded, 2,686 houses were bamboo bonded and 4 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 3,830 households in Maulapur Municipality, 411 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,344 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 360 establishments in Maulapur Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 783 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 665 and female engagement of 118 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.18 people engaged with average males are 1.85 and females are 0.33. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 5.64, which means as many as 5.64 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 84.93 percent while the females are 15.07 percent.
