Ramnagar is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Sarlahi district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Ramnagar has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 26 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Ramnagar Rural Municipality had total population of 28.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Ramnagar Rural Municipality had total 28,727 population with 14,922 males and 13,805 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 7,049, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 7,049.
With respect to number of households, Ramnagar Rural Municipality had total 4,485 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 1,176, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 346 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 9,276 people fully literate in Ramnagar Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 735 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,070 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Ramnagar Rural Municipality, total 3,071 males and 1,999 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 6,872 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 3,186 male and 3,686 female were not attending teh school. According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 7,223 in Ramnagar Rural Municipality with 3,480 (48.18%) of males and 3,743 (51.82%) females. There were total 18 schools. In average, 401 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Ramnagar is Bajjika, which is spoken by 26,151 people. The Ramnagar has people who speak other languages, such as Urdu, Maithili, Nepali, Hindi, Bhojpuri, etc.

There were as little as Rajput caste with population of as little as 13 in total. Household Foundation
Out of total 4485 households in Ramnagar Rural Municipality, there were 132 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 711 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 129 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 3,452houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 78 houses were mud bonded, 730 houses were cement bonded, 312 houses were wood planks bonded, 3,310 houses were bamboo bonded and 4 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.10.

out of 4,485 households in Ramnagar Rural Municipality, 886 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,450 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 290 establishments in Ramnagar Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 941 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 739 and female engagement of 202 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.24 people engaged with average males are 2.55 and females are 0.70. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 3.66, which means as many as 3.66 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 78.53 percent while the females are 21.47 percent.
