Shadananda is a Municipality, which is located in Bhojpur district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Shadananda has total 14 wards, which are scattered across 241 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Shadananda Municipality had total population of 31,610.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Shadananda Municipality had total 31,606 population with 14,925 males and 16,681 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 3,476, while ward number 3 had least number of population with 3,476.
With respect to number of households, Shadananda Municipality had total 6,832 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 769, while ward number 9 had least number of households with total 318 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 20,280 people fully literate in Shadananda Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 507 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 9,999 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Shadananda Municipality, total 5,023 males and 4,976 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 3,274 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,230 male and 2,044 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.01 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.60.The CBS census also states that 75 males and 94 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 8,993 in Shadananda Municipality with 4,364 (48.53%) of males and 4,629 (51.47%) females. There were total 76 schools. In average, 118 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Shadananda is Nepali, which is spoken by 18,176 people. The Shadananda has people who speak other languages, such as Tamang, Sampang, Newar, Sherpa, Kulung, Bantawa, Magar, Rai, Gurung, Chamling, Thulung, Bhojpuri, Sunuwar, Nachhiring, Sam, Koyee, Limbu, Bahing, Maithili, Ghale, Dumi, Mewahang, Tharu, Khaling, etc.

There were as little as Sonar caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Shadananda are Chhetri, Tamang, Brahmin - Hill, Newar, Kami, Magar, Sarki, Sherpa, Damai/Dholi, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Kulung, Gharti/Bhujel, Gurung, Kumal, Ghale, Sunuwar, Majhi, Thakuri, Samgpang, Bantaba, Nachhiring, Thulung, Limbu, Mallaha, Chamling, Tharu, Brahmin - Tarai, Terai Others, Baraee, Nurang, Sonar, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total population of 31,606, there were total 911 (2.88%) disabled persons in Shadananda Municipality with 479 (52.58%) males and 432 (47.42%) females. The physically disabled persons were 362, while mentally disabled people were 42 and intellectually disabled were 26.
Similarly, there were 173 people who were blind and 108 people were deaf, while 12 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 95 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 93 people had multiple disabilities.

Out of total 6832 households in Shadananda Municipality, there were 6,052 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 12 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 2 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 716houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 5,856 houses were mud bonded, 24 houses were cement bonded, 74 houses were wood planks bonded, 830 houses were bamboo bonded and 24 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 5,599 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 829 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 86 houses had roof of tile, 6 houses had RCC roofs, 248 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. out of 6,832 households in Shadananda Municipality, 1,416 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 5,367 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 579 establishments in Shadananda Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,405 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 810 and female engagement of 595 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.43 people engaged with average males are 1.40 and females are 1.03. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.36, which means as many as 1.36 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 57.65 percent while the females are 42.35 percent.
