Aathrai Tribeni is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Taplejung district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Aathrai Tribeni has total 5 wards, which are scattered across 89 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality had total population of 13,784.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality had total 13,784 population with 6,414 males and 7,370 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 3,719, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 3,719.
With respect to number of households, Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality had total 2,888 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 782, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 414 number of households.

There were only 8,802 people fully literate in Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 397 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 4,270 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality, total 2,058 males and 2,212 females were attending the school. Out of total 2888 households in Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality, there were 2,673 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 7 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 188houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 2,565 houses were mud bonded, 8 houses were cement bonded, 33 houses were wood planks bonded, 271 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 433 establishments in Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,364 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 704 and female engagement of 660 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.15 people engaged with average males are 1.63 and females are 1.52. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.07, which means as many as 1.07 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 51.61 percent while the females are 48.39 percent.
