Mikwakhola is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Taplejung district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Mikwakhola has total 5 wards, which are scattered across 443 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Mikwakhola Rural Municipality had total population of 9,160.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Mikwakhola Rural Municipality had total 9,160 population with 4,313 males and 4,847 females. Out of total wards, ward number 4 had the largest population 2,410, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 2,410.
With respect to number of households, Mikwakhola Rural Municipality had total 1,869 households. The ward number 4 had most households with total 501, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 316 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 5,338 people fully literate in Mikwakhola Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 298 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 3,011 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Mikwakhola Rural Municipality, total 1,478 males and 1,533 females were attending the school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Mikwakhola is Limbu, which is spoken by 3,728 people. The Mikwakhola has people who speak other languages, such as Sherpa, Nepali, Tamang, Gurung, Rai, Newar, etc.

Out of total 1869 households in Mikwakhola Rural Municipality, there were 1,738 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 4 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 100houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 1,487 houses were mud bonded, 8 houses were cement bonded, 161 houses were wood planks bonded, 158 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 269 establishments in Mikwakhola Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 612 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 430 and female engagement of 182 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.28 people engaged with average males are 1.60 and females are 0.68. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.36, which means as many as 2.36 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 70.26 percent while the females are 29.74 percent.
