In 2017 election of Duikholi Rural Municipality (Rolpa district), candidate Nimkant Dangi of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 4,608 (63.44%) votes out of total votes of 7,264 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Jhakku Prasad Gharti of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 1,989 (16.75%) of votes. The rest of 2 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 667 (4.59) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Hit Kumari Budha Magar of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 4,608 (63.89%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Laxmi Dangi of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 1,899 (16.07%) of votes and came in second position. Other 2 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 705 (4.89) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 89 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 52 (58.43%) males and 37 (41.57%) females. Moreover, there were total 17 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 33 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 17 females and 14 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
