In 2017 election of Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality (Lamjung district), candidate Chupi Maya Gurung of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 2,413 (54.09%) votes out of total votes of 4,461 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Sati Maya Tamang of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) who secured 1,756 (25.55%) of votes. The rest of 4 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 292 (3.27) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Kamal Prasad Dhital of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 2,373 (56.77%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Dhan Bhadur Gurung of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,723 (26.29%) of votes and came in second position. Other 2 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 84 (1.00) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 73 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 44 (60.27%) males and 29 (39.73%) females. Moreover, there were total 14 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 25 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 13 females and 11 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
