The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) - Hari Raj Limbu secured 12,299 (36.49%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Dharma Raj Poude of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) who secured 11,248 (33.37%) votes and came in second position.
