There were 48,274 votes casted during 2008 Constituent Assembly elections in Dhading District, Constituency No. 3. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) - Shalik Ram Jamarkattel secured 25,075 (51.94%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Rajendra Prasad Pandey of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) who secured 14,580 (30.20%) votes and came in second position.
