There were 35,544 votes casted during 2008 Constituent Assembly elections in Banke District, Constituency No. 3. The candidte of MPRF - Sarbadev Prasad Ojha secured 14,900 (41.92%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Parma Nanda Kurmi of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) who secured 6,970 (19.61%) votes and came in second position.
