There were 43,060 votes casted during 1999 House of Representatives elections in Arghakhanchi District, Constituency No. 2. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Dilli Raj Khanal secured 21,336 (49.55%) votes and secured victory in the election.
